Reza Jahangiri
Chief Executive Officer
Reza Jahangiri founded AAG in 2004 as a values-based, purpose-driven company dedicated to helping seniors improve their retirement outcomes through the responsible use of home equity. He is the past co-chair of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association, and former publisher of The Reverse Review. As CEO of AAG, the nation’s leading reverse mortgage lender, Reza is driving the growth of the core home equity solutions business and the company’s expansion into new business lines. Outside of the mortgage industry, Reza leads the strategic planning efforts for Gen Next Foundation, a network of leaders focused on tackling the greatest generational challenges of our time. Reza and his spouse, Kate Levering, are also co-founders of Willow International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating human trafficking at the source, in Uganda. They both served as directors and Reza is the past-chair. Reza is also on the Board of Directors for Octane, an Orange County technology accelerator and venture fund, and is helping to launch Octane’s Next Wave Leaders initiative. He serves on the CEO Leadership Alliance Orange County (CLA-OC) Executive Committee and the UCI Chief Executive Roundtable, as well as the UCI Claire Trevor School of the Arts, Dean’s Arts Board, and the Pacific Symphony Board of Directors. In 2018, Reza received Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of The Year® Award in the financial services category in Orange County. The following year, he was honored with an Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award by the Orange County Business Journal. Prior to founding AAG, Reza was president and CEO of several healthcare service companies focused on imaging for the early detection of heart disease and cancer. Reza earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine, and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.

Ed Robinson
President & Chief Operating Officer
As President and Chief Operating Officer, Ed is responsible for the day-to-day operations of AAG, including management of the P&L and ensuring key initiatives are well resourced and prioritized across the company. Ed joined AAG in 2021 with more than 30 years of combined professional and military leadership experience, most recently serving as COO of Genesis Financial Solutions. Previous roles include Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Mortgage at USAA, Head of Mortgage at Fifth Third Bank, Senior Vice President, Servicing Operations at PHH Corporation, and Vice President of Operations at Genworth US Mortgage Insurance (formerly GE Financial Assurance). Ed earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Temple University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Rebecca Pacillas
Chief People Officer
As Chief People Officer, Rebecca is responsible for developing and executing a human resource strategy that supports business objectives and aligns with AAG’s core values and culture. Rebecca oversees the entire human resource organization, including talent acquisition, learning & development, benefits, internal communications, and corporate engagement. She joined AAG in 2012, having more than 20 years of experience directing HR teams and performance management processes. Previous roles include vice president of human resources for TOMRA North America and director of human resources at RMA Land Construction and eNexi Holdings. Rebecca studied human resources management at University of California, Riverside.

Matt Engel
Chief Financial Officer
As chief financial officer, Matt is responsible for the finance, treasury, capital markets, servicing and accounting aspects of the company. Matt has 24 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting for both public and privately-held organizations. Prior to joining AAG in April 2014, Matt served as executive vice president of finance for Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (a commercial real estate services company), chief financial officer of Option One Mortgage Company (a sub-prime mortgage lender that originated $27 billion of mortgage loans in 2007 and serviced loans totaling $67 billion), and chief accounting officer of H&R Block, Inc. (parent company of Option One). He began his career as an auditor with Price Waterhouse and also served in various financial roles with DST Systems, Inc. Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and is a certified public accountant (inactive, Missouri).

Paul Konovalov
Chief Legal Officer
As Chief Legal Officer, Paul oversees AAG's legal department and internal audit department. Prior to joining AAG in June 2016, Paul spent nearly twenty years in private practice at Latham & Watkins LLP and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he specialized in the representation of financial services clients, investment advisors, and asset managers. Paul graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service and earned his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from University of California Hastings College of Law in San Francisco.

Paul Fiore
Chief Retail Sales Officer
As Chief Retail Sales Officer, Paul oversees AAG’s centralized retail sales channel. Since joining the company in 2009 as executive vice president of retail sales, Paul has helped transform AAG into the most significant retail originator in the industry. Prior to joining AAG, Paul was the chief learning officer at Senior Lending Network (World Alliance Financial). Paul served on the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association board of directors and has been a featured speaker at various NRMLA and MBA meetings on the topic of effective reverse mortgage sales strategies. Paul earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from the New York Institute of Technology.

Quinton Chapman
Senior Vice President, Operations
As Senior Vice President of Operations, Quinton oversees all facets of AAG’s sales channels, including the retail call center, national field sales division and wholesale division. He is focused on improving processes through innovation to optimize our operations for future growth. Prior to joining AAG, Quinton served as Vice President of Operations for Genesis Financial Solutions. He was Vice President and National Director of Mortgage Processing and Head of Private Bank Fulfillment at Fifth Third Bank. Quinton is a graduate of Southern Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, Finance, and Marketing.

Kimberly Smith
Senior Vice President,
Wholesale
As senior vice president of wholesale lending, Kim is responsible for the production and growth of AAG’s wholesale division. Prior to joining AAG in January 2013, Kim was the executive vice president of sales at Generation Mortgage where she oversaw all sales operations for the top-five reverse mortgage lenders. Kim began her career in the reverse mortgage industry in 2004 working for Financial Freedom where she was quickly promoted to western regional manager of wholesale sales. She then went on to serve as senior vice president of wholesale lending for One Reverse Mortgage. Kim graduated magna cum laude from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a major in business administration and minor in economics.

Jason Kniss
Chief Information Officer
As Chief Information Officer, Jason is responsible for the mission-critical technology platforms that support the company’s business, ensuring the safety and security of its systems and the data that runs on them. Before being named CIO in 2022, Jason was AAG’s vice president of enterprise IT & information security and was responsible for overseeing the entire technology infrastructure. Prior to joining AAG in 2013, Jason held senior leadership positions at OneWest Bank, where he supported strategic initiatives, customer experience, and technology. Jason is a certified telecommunications engineer and studied business analytics at Western Michigan University.
